Spencer B. Haber

Founder and Chairman

Spencer B. Haber is Founder and Chairman of H/3 Foundation Inc., a global philanthropy dedicated to creating game-changing progress for animals through media, education and direct action.  Through H/3, he is actively involved in various animal welfare endeavors and related media projects, including the production and co-production of feature-length and short documentary films on animals, the environment and associated topics, working with multiple award-winning directors and partners.

Both Mr. Haber and H/3 Foundation provide financial, governance and participatory support to a myriad of animal welfare organizations.  Spencer is a former member of the Board of Directors of Humane World for Animals (formerly the Humane Society of the U.S.), one of the country's largest animal protection organizations.  Among his related philanthropic activities, Spencer has also served on the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Land Trust and on the National Leadership Council of the National Forest Foundation.

Mr. Haber is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of H/2 Capital Partners, a global institutional investment manager focused on credit, hard assets and special situations.  Since its inception, H/2 and its affiliates have completed over $55 billion of investments on behalf of leading investors, including pension funds, sovereign funds, insurance companies, foundations and other institutions globally.

Mr. Haber holds a bachelor's degree in economics, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School, where he was named a Benjamin Franklin Scholar, and a master's degree in business administration, also from the Wharton School, where he graduated a Palmer Scholar.

John Hoffman

Director

John Hoffman is a six-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, whose most recent films include the National Geographic portrait, Fauci, which premiered at the 2021 Telluride Film Festival, and The Antidote which was theatrically released in 2020 before moving to Amazon Prime.

Some of his other films include Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2017, and Out of Many, One which premiered at the New York Film Festival, followed by Netflix in 2018.

Much of John's work as a filmmaker has focused on the key health issues of our time, including The Weight of the Nation (HBO), Addiction (HBO), The Alzheimer's Project (HBO) and First in Human (Discovery) – a six-hour series set in the world's largest research hospital, the National Institutes of Health's Building 10.

In addition to making films, John was the Executive Vice President of Documentaries & Specials for Discovery Channel from 2015 to 2018, after nearly two decades as Vice President of Documentary Programming at Home Box Office ("HBO"). Mr. Hoffman holds a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.

Sheila A. Sadighi

Director

Sheila A. Sadighi is Global Head of Litigation at Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company, LLC, the proprietary operations platform of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P.  In this role, she leads litigation strategy for one of the world's largest alternative investment firms, drawing on more than two decades of advising institutional investors and asset managers in complex commercial disputes.

Sheila previously co-founded Rolnick Kramer Sadighi LLP (now Rolnick Kramer Securities Litigation LLP) in September 2020, where she previously served as Managing Partner.  Under her leadership, RKS established itself as a premier New York-based litigation boutique focused on delivering “litigation alpha” to investment manager and institutional investor clients.

Prior to co-founding RKS, Sheila spent 20 years with a national (AmLaw 100) law firm, where she served on the Executive Board, the Operations and Admissions Committees, and was Chair of its Risk Management Committee.  Sheila holds a bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College and her Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School.
